Stephen had his first cross country meet on Sunday afternoon.

Power Ranger in Repose

Stephen picked out his halloween costume on Saturday night: a power ranger! He loved it so much he wore it Sunday morning while watching the Incredibles on TV.

Friday Night Football - Father Ryan

On Friday, Father Ryan high school hosted a free family night at their football game for all the local parochial schools. I took Stephen and Kathleen to their first high school game. They had a lot of fun and we even stayed all the way until the end of the game at nearly 10:00 at night.

The evening started with a tailgating party outside the stadium:

We got our seats pretty early and the kids enjoyed taking in all the pregame activities:

Stephen met a new friend, Zach, who is in one of the other kindergarten classes at Holy Rosary. They spent the whole evening together climbing up and down the bleachers.

Kathleen's Third Birthday

All systems go for launch

The weather was amazing this weekend and we spent as much time as possible outside. Yesterday afternoon, just as dusk was approaching, I noticed how cool the clouds looked and they really contrasted with Stephen swinging since he was in shadow from the house. To get this photo it's pretty low tech, simply lay flat in the dirt facing straight up with an 18mm and let Stephen swing past the camera, missing it by inches. Fun stuff!
